Visibility and Pilot Safety
The FAA presently requires a minimum of 96 square inches of reflective sheeting. Our reflectors have over 200 square inches of 3M sheeting. Because of the diameter, which gives a square reflective appearance and amount of sheeting we use, they can be seen at great distances with very little light, adding to pilot safety in darkness and low visibility weather conditions.
Our reflectors have been used in remote areas instead of lights, and can be added to runways as a backup system in case of blackouts. Our reflective cylinders are used to cover lights when repairs are being done, so the runways and taxiways can still be utilized.
These reflectors can be ordered flat or rolled into cylinders. Rolled or cylinder style have been used on airport runways, taxiways, thresholds, heliports, etc., piers, docks, pilings, telephone poles, driveway entrances, and any unlit areas that need to be illuminated at night.
The FAA requires a minimum of 14” above ground, to a maximum of 30” above ground, which allows us to offer our customers 17 different heights within the FAA required specifications.
Durability and Maintenance
The aluminum also has the ability to withstand both extreme high and low temperatures and will not attract wild life. These reflectors are extremely sturdy and have been tested in the Boeing wind tunnel at up to 300 MPH.

All AR-100 Cylinders are Approx. 5 1/4"; x 12"; High. Standard shipment consists of 2 fully assembled and 23 ready to assemble units per box. Can provide 17 heights within FAA minimum/maximum specifications of 14” to 30” above ground.
